Hardly overlooked though. I love these fights getting a shout out, but they're pretty much the consensus most exciting era of fights with any self-respecting boxing fan! Literally jaw-dropping when considered as single fights, and truly baffling when considering them as part of a chronology.

You mean Choi, right? That guy had a straight right hand he threw down the pipe that looked like Arguello's. Straight as an arrow and he set it up perfectly. How Limon took those things flush I'll never know.

Another rarely mentioned good Limon fight is that Bethalmy fight.

By the way considering he was past prime it was a very good performance by midget Canto against Avelar.

Personally I never found McCallum-Kalambay 2 exciting.

His fight with Navarette is also exciting, and controversial. And then Chung Il Choi (think That's his name) capitulates again.

Richie Kates nailed Matthew with a 'bomb' of a right-hand at 2:47 of the 4th Round.

Matthew went down 'face-first' as if hit with a 'sledge-hammer'. When he got up at the 6-Count, he
was completely out of it, as he staggered backwards into the ropes.

The bell rang,,,,,, ending the Round,,,,,,, before Richie Kates could put in the 'finisher'.

Unbelievably, Matthew Franklin came to back to stop (TKO 6) Kates 2 rounds later.

Had the right-hand bomb from Richie Kates come 15-seconds earlier, he would have won by a TKO,
as he would have easily stopped the 'out-of-it' Franklin.
