Liakhovich is my favourite fringe contender/gatekeeper but I have a terrible feeling about this one. If he wins I'll be over the moon, but I can't see it happening in a million years at this point
All up and comers stop shot fighters. The Finn has improved a lot, in a short time...would like to see his belly in shape, but do not think he should screw around with weights too much...he's hard punching the way his arms and shoulders are now. He could go to weights and screw that up. Look at Briggs, went to the weights and lost everything.
He looks pretty good to me. We may just see the good version of Sergei that beat up Brewster. His infighting is great & I especially like the lead right hand to the body & head from the outside. Hand speed looks good too. Defense & stamina have always been his biggest weaknesses though & Helenius has the 1 punch power to capitlaize on those weak points. I'd have to favor Helenius by late stoppage, maybe a 60-40 edge or better for Robert.
He might as well fought on only 1 leg also, Sergei didn't move at all! He just stood there and got hit with Valuev's slow motion punches. The injury should have inspired him to move his ass more, and his arm would not have prevented that.
I thought you said this was a great fight . . . where are the great fighters . . . these guys are heavyweights right? lol
