Yeah, he deserves a LOT of credit for hanging in to the final bell. It was nice to see him get the opportunity to finish the fight.

Escalante is VERY strong for his weight. He's got some habits he needs to shore up but man is he rugged.

Yep, like that weird quirk of his where he drops his gloves when moving in. But like you said Escalate is very strong, great body puncher too.

I feel you@romperstomper. Lost some big money betting on the under. 9/10 this fight is stopped. Not really sure what the corner of Lock were playing at really

Exactly and the under was 9 1/2 rounds his corner should of stopped it before the 10th he had no chance of winning ...was a good fight but losing a 100 bucks blows seriously anyhow I guess I should be grateful it was a good fight betting certainly makes it funner to watch but can also suck hard.

    Lock is trained by Mayweather!

The under card fight upset was great also.

Barranza earned the win against Velazquez. I was glad to see a correct decision occur.

Great fight last night, I thought for sure the fight was over in the third round.

I give Lock credit for hanging in there despite being beaten like a red-headed step child.

Mayweather wasn't in his corner last night. Cornelius Boza Edwards subbed in as chief second.

Jose Beranza is a name I will remember, even if he doesn't go on to do much else (he only shot from 94 to 86 in the rankings after last night's win..)

You know what trio came to mind last night for me? The Joke Coach Roach, Pacman and Gerry Penalosa. Pacman told Roach....Gerry needs you man go with Gerry.

Where was Roger for this guy Lock? I certainly hope he wasn't not there because of Floyd Jr. needing him.

I'd like to see him there for his man in that kind of do or die fight and in such unfriendly territory. After Lock was hurt he stayed away pretty well from Escalante at times. He needed to be getting on that horse when he was fresh right out of the gate. It was apparant early that he was going to get broken down exchanging with the heavy handed Escalante. Should have been running, counter punching Escalante's wild winging shots and then getting back on the run. He could beat that guy IMO with a better game plan and certainly could have done much better than he did.

The other thing is.....he was bustsed up butt good going to his stool for the final time. There is no way he should have been sent in there for the last round IMO....he did go out swinging for the fences but he was in grave danger that last round...Teddy called that spot on.

I'm not sure about the reasons why Roger wasn't there but it seems to me if Lock was Manny's friend and trained by Roach he would have had a trainer in the corner and would not have gone out for the last round.

It's definitely food for thought, how this fight might have turned out had Uncle Roger been there for his man. :think
