Great fight on the horizon ... Kirkland v Julio

If Julio still have the heart to compete i will go with him by KO, he is faster, better punching power and skills than Kirkland and more tested too.

I see a lot of "bombs" being thrown in the comments and there certainly WILL be bombs...but remember that Joel Julio has evolved a bit if his fights against Dzinzruk and Ishe Smith are any indication. He's lowered the amount of "bombs" and become a more well rounded fighter.

I figure Julio will eat a lot of leather early but completely take over after round 6 or so. I don't think Julio is anything special but he certainly has more proven than Kirkland.

I also think Kirkland will bounce back from this huge and get a lot better.

 

Julio performed pretty well against Dzinziruk which is a good indication of his standing in the division.

He was very strong early on, he caused a lot of problems. I noticed his skills were slightly improved, he's not become a boxer puncher or anything, but he's not the crude guy I remember.

We'd probably see a role-reversal in this fight because Kirkland starts at an insane pace...he is crazy. Julio's chances get better as the fight progresses, as I think for once he is the better boxer with more proven stamina and durability. Yet he also has the experience to meet fire with fire considering his power.

a good scrap, im taking julio in this one, better all around skills and can punch

 

based on that analysis it seems that kirkland would have limited chance of winning..but i still favor kirkland to win
