He only fought 60 something rounds in his entire career yet he fought in 9 various world title bouts.
He stopped everyone that he fought but his life ended tragically.
    Who am I talking about?

You'll have to do better than that, Old Man. I was a big fan of Edwin Valero. The big give away was "he stopped every one that he fought." I still talk about him weakly, and advise the unusually high number of south paws at our gym to google his sparring sessions.

Well Dale we have something in common his story is the saddest I have ever encountered in boxing.
I often wonder....What could have been.

Indeed mate, it truly is a tragic tale of Shakespearean proportions. We witnessed the start of a great fighter, what could have been? just look at the way he turned on the gas and destroyed Antonio DeMarco after he got severely cut from an elbow in his last fight, the man was a beast, he controlled the ring and enjoyed the fight.
I don't know if you've seen this series on youtube, but it is a much watch, this is what I get the young south paws in my gym to watch.

Edwin Valero...hmm....mixed feelin' about him...sensational fighter inside the ring...a violent wife killer outside of it...killin' himself was the only way to end it for him...I feel sorry for his missus and her orphaned children but nuthin' for him...:verysad

The only tragedy is that his wife lost her life to the piece of **** and the kids dont have a mummy.

I understand how you would feel that way, Darky. Having had to face tormenting demons all my life, though, and dealing with a couple of close (fighter) friends that have also, I can, conversely, see how one can easily become ones own worst nightmare and spiral down into insanity. Not that I have spiraled down into insanity, nor do I consider myself insane.

His downfall was caused by drugs Kim and a bad motorcycle accident.
It was not his natural disposition.

He had a history of domestic violence as long as Wilt Chamberlain's arm. He put his wife in hospital numerous times, collapsing her lung etc. Not only did he apparently kick the **** out of his Mother, but his sister too.
