Depends how you define "riches"? Marco Antonio Barerra grew up in quite a well to do family. Pretty sure Chris Algieri never struggled as a kid. Julio Cesar Chavez obviously grew up wealthy
Barrera was on his way to becoming a lawyer when he stopped to pursue his dream of winning a world title (obviously he stayed on a bit after that). he grew up in a good neighborhood and his dad was the owner of a business that built props and sets for tv shows
I think the truly great Azumah Nelson was the son of a wealthy landowner in Ghana. Could someone confirm ?
While he's certainly not great in a historical contest, Beibut Shumenov did have a belt for awhile and was a solid world-class LHW. I think he and his family have what's politely called "Fuk You" money, which is why it's funny he didn't use any of it to hire a trainer.
Barrera...not sure bout rich but well off and educated. Algieri...pretty sure his Long Island ***** ass is/was rich. Chavez jr. Know those are repeats but they are all I'm aware of.
Shumenov comes from a very wealthy family, and his boxing career is just some sort of hobby for him. Certainly not great, but a former beltholder non the less.
Will we ask renegade does he come from money considering his going to beat medzhidov and become an all time great soon
