The In Rock avatar was up for too long.

Tucker fought Douglas for Spinks’ belt. That is when the Spinks fight would’ve occurred had Spinks not gone with Cooney.

Both were on roads leading directly to Tyson. I don’t think taking a lot more money for one fight over another is a duck — did Tucker’s promoter make an offer?

Tucker got the Tyson fight because he beat Douglas for Spinks’ belt. Spinks allowed that. Tucker was his mandatory.

    You follow?

In Rock is easily my favorite DP (my favorite album ever is Rainbow Rising), but Burn is excellent.

Cool, I have too many to really name a favorite, there are a few I dont care for though- the last Mk1 album Deep Purple, The House of Blue Light, Concerto for Group and Orchestra, I like all the Rainbow and Whitesnake albums, but never cared for Gillan, although I do like Born Again with Sabbath a lot. These later years with Steve Morse and Don Airey, I still love them as a live band, but the albums to me are a bit hit or miss. My favorite 2 post Blackmore are Purpendicular and Bananas.

You named all the stuff I like, but I was a huge fan of Gillan from In Rock to Made in Japan, and yeah he was terrific on Born Again. I actually had Graham Bonnet sing songs on two of my albums (not sure if you remember him).

I love Ian Gillan just not his solo stuff apart from his Gillan's Inn album. I love Graham Bonnet, Down to Earth is my second favorite album after Rainbow Rising, I hope once the world get's back to normal and live music comes back to see him live, but I don't think he's ever come to Northeast PA, NY, NJ. Out of all the guys I've seen from the Purple family, the best by far was Glenn Hughes, he came to Penns Peak in the fall of 2018 and he was fantastic. Still can sing the phone book and fantastic bass player. Underrated big time, and I've seen Entwistle, Squire, Geddy Lee, Greg Lake.... Played Mk 3 and 4 stuff plus Smoke on the Water and Highway Star, his band was great too, and apart from the guitarist, I belive Jeff Kohlman was the guys name, I never even heard of the organ player or drummer but they were really good.

I might do some shows with Graham, and I'll keep in mind those locations, my friend.

Well, we're really off topic lol!

People rumored that Holmes was ducking Greg Page, but he beat the guys who beat him (Berbick and Bey) so I don't put much stock in it.

That would have been a great fight my friend, too bad they never fought.

If it's Quarry at his best, he might even shake up George. But ulitmately I see Jerry getting hurt worse than against Frazier. Maybe 5 rounds, but I have a hard time seeing Jerry make it that long without getting the big kabong.

I know Page and Holmes didn't like each other. Page had a lot of talent, but didn't like to train like a lot of 80's heavyweights, so I'd have to pick Larry.
I hate to pry, but do you play guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, I bought a Cd/Dvd live album with Graham a couple years ago, he had a really sexy gal Beth Ami-Heavenstone on bass, and Graham is a great singer, I'm sure you've heard him do Stargazer, he can really do that song justice! :beer-toast1:

I play lead guitar and write all my music.

Yes, he was married to Beth-Ami for awhile. I haven't talked to Graham in a little while, so I'm not sure they're still together. I am a big fan of the music he did with Michael Schenker as well as Rainbow.

It is not a duck, if the fighter in question, has not put you in a position where you need to fight them.

No champion, is required to seek out dangerous challengers, who have not justified their challenges.

Their duty is to fight the person who deserves the shot the most, not the person who poses the greatest stylistic risk.

A fighter who does not hold a title, can refuse to fight a potential challenger, for any reason, or none at all!

Nice I play a bit of guitar but strictly as a hobby. I didn't take it up til my early 30's and mostly stick to rythym as I know a lot of chords. Unfortunately the guy who taught me didn't know scales! It was cool though me him and his ex used to get together and jam. Me and his ex would play guitar, he would play drums, and one or both of them would sing. I'm not a singer. Nowadays since he died a couple years ago, he was a diabetic, I mostly plug into my XBox and play Rocksmith, it's learning software, and I've learned quite a few songs, mostly on rythym though. Sucks because I have a Vox , Laney, and Orange, but hardly use them anymore.
