Great fighters there is no footage of?

Not so fast my friend. See below. Good evidence that the “fix” was in also.

I have similar incriminating footage of Liston prior to Lewiston Maine - willing to sell for HUGE $$$.

Very true, we are lucky to have what we do have - but in some ways, what we do have seems to suggest that we are actually unlucky not to have a shred on Greb - though I have read all the well considered whys and wherefores behind the lack of existence of any Greb footage today.

 

John L. We have a short mock spar with Corbett and hitting the speed bag in 1910. Footage of any of his bare knuckle fights would be unreal - but even the Sullivan-Corbett match would be of extreme value.

 

There must be loads surely? I imagine the deterioration of film from those days means many may have been filmed but the film does not survive. I also think there are many who we have footage of but not of their classic fights, for example Barbados Joe Walcott where we have only an interveiw.

 

Fighters I would like to see, and there isn't any footage of, as far as I know !

I've always wanted to see footage of Lew Jenkins, Willie Joyce, and Johnny Risko. There is some sparring footage of Risko which turned up recently.
