    Aleksandr Ustinov was in a OMON unit and fought in Chechnya, he was actually awarded 2 medals. He was a Kickboxer before a boxer though so i dont know if he first started in the military or before.

    According to the movie "Somebody Up There Likes Me," Rocky Graziano got a lot of his training when he was in the Army. Although the movie says it was while he was serving time at Leavenworth federal prison after punching out a captain.

    Not only by the thread title are you implying that Chuck Wepner was a great fighter, but, even worse, you're implying that he ever learned to box.
