Are there any? Anybody at all that never took step aside money, never took the soft option, never moved up in weight to avoid, retired to avoid...anybody at all?

Anyone without a sniff of a run and hide on their resume?

    Duran?

Hard question because you can't prove who avoided who in the sport.

Hate to be boring but...Jimmy Wilde

He gave away weight to virtually everyone. I'm sure there are many others, back in the day

i don't know, there's so many fighters out there, you can probably always find one contender that a certain guy didn't fight.

plus especially with the older fighters, we don't know as much detail as we do today with advanced technology.

the lesser-known fighters are more likely to fit in this category.

they have less demand and don't have the luxury to turn down semi-big fights because they can get a bigger fight elsewhere.

As much as I like Mosley, he did say he wasnt ready for Margarito at one point (dont have exact source tho), and there was talks that he ducked Floyd after Vargas and some other time ( I can understand why he didnt want to sign a fight after vargas tho, Oscar is his boss and allready had his aim on Pretty boy).

Barbados Demon Joe Walcott fough whoever was put infront of him no matter the size was only 5 foot 2 but fought guys like Langford and Joe Choynski he even called out Jeffries. He once fought a fighter who outweighed him by over 100 pounds.

Benn, politics was the only reason the RJJ fight didnt happen(contracts, king etc). Fought Barkley in his first WBO MW defence then Eubank in the next fight.

Fight McLellan took serious bottle as well

He didn't say he wasn't ready for Margarito - he said the risk vs. reward factor for fighting Margarito wasn't good.

I would say that Mosley ducked Mayweather after the Vargas fight - but he didn't want to come off back to back fights with Vargas at 154lbs and turn around at figth the P4P best at 147. So he took some time off.
