Great fighters who suffered a shut-out when prime or near-prime?

I didn't say Whitaker-Nelson was a shutout. I said it was a near shut out. Pray tell us which rounds other than the 7th and the 12th (which was a charity round Whitaker gifted him because of the point deduction, not because Nelson actually outfought him) you gave to Azumah?

And I concede Azumah was a little past prime, even though he remained at a championship level for a good 6 years after the fight.

You're an idiot though, so your opinion doesn't count.

I watched Nelson-Pea last night. I gave Nelson 2 rounds with 1 even, so when you take Pea's point deduction into account, I ended up with a 117-111 card. For me, that doesn't qualify as a shut-out. I don't think you consider a shut-out either though, as I'm sure I just read you on other thread saying Nelson won 2 rounds, or have I mistaken you for someone else?

    I'm anything but a fan of Hamed, but this wasn't a shut-out. I gave Hamed 2 rounds, maybe 3.

I think 10-2/9-3 fights should, or at least could qualify as effective shutouts if the rounds you could give to the loser were nothing/feeling out rounds or because of the winner coasting and taking rounds at the end say(while still clearly being in control.

LIke jones vs Hopkins. An effective shutout where Hopkins only marginal success came as Roy coasted at the end.Hopkins not being prime would exclude it here, but you see what i mean.

If you scored the fight as an effective shut-out, you can defo add it imo, Hopkins, even if not at the absoulte pinnacle of his career, is a fine win for Jones.

I probably would include Whitaker-Nelson then, as I only gave the Professor a round or two.

Nah Tyson won a round or two especially with the knockdown he gave Douglas in the 8th I think.

    Both were past their prime

Also I don't think Jones/Hopkins was a shutout I think i gave Hopkins 3 maybe 4 rounds. I know those rounds were close though. I'll have to watch it again.
