Great fighters with bad footwork.

    Fighting starts at the feet how can a great fighter have bad footwork?

    Great post. Some people mistake a lot of movement for "great footwork." They don't realize that "great footwork" is balance, pivoting, keeping their feet under them, shifting weight, etc. On the other hand, a lot of fighters move a lot but have terrible footwork. If a fighter has bad footwork everything is off.

    I don't know much about boxing, but I do know that most boxing fans don't know **** about good footwork. To them good footwork is anything that's flashy and bad footwork is anything that isn't.

    Ditto with good head movement. So many times I've watched a video of people fawning over someone's incredible head movement only to slow the video down and see someone get punched in the head like 12 times whilst avoiding precisely zero damage lol.
