    Judging by the posts on this forum it would have to be:

    Rocky Marciano
    With an honorable mention for Joe Frazier and Joe Louis.

    But seriously I don’t believe you can be great and have no defense.

    I wouldn’t even suggest Tex Cobb as a great or having no defense (although very limited), but not sure where else to go with this premise.

    Neither Cooney nor Cobb could be classed as great fighters.

    Depends on whats meant by the term "great". Maybe youre right about Cobb.. but Cooney was a very good fighter..not great as Foreman but however great.

    Pretty much every fighter above club level, even most club fighters have some sort of defense.

    OK. Im not sure about Cobb even if had one the best chins of boxing history.
    However: Ali, Tyson, Foreman, Lewis, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Canelo, etc = HUGE
    Cooney, Tua, Lyle, McCall, Mugabi, etc.= GREAT
    On this Im sure. Lol
