Cooney ,Tua,Lyle ,McCall ,Mugabi, all good, but none great imo Canelo? Going to wait till after the Kovalev fight.
It would be interesting to open a thread on this discussion great/ huge / good / very good. However...its all ok!
I can't actually think of one. And Lamotta had a great, understated defense. Great at twisting his neck too.
Joe Tatsuyoshi could be sometimes porous when extremely aggressive. However his actual movement and defensive movement was great (when used).
Well he's not an ATG. But a 'Very Good'. Great action fighter. Quite skilled and great mover. One of my favourites. This content is protected
I guess some who are mentioned are those whose offense are their defense. Sometimes fighters with power neglect defense and take it for granted. They never had to focus on it.
It's incorrect to say that they had "no" defense. Poor defense maybe...but they had to have some defense or they would have made it to the obit column soon enough.
Matthew Saad Muhammad Very pourous defense. He had great heart, chin, stamina and power. He had above average movement and handspeed a decent jab. I would say he was a great fighter in his prime.
