Aye, that's why i had to take nearly 10 years off from here, so it seems kinda fresh to me now :D

I don't think I was helped by watching the fight with my dad (when it was shown here for the first time the following day) and he spent most of it saying "this looks fixed".

    Okay,

You know me, I read and lurk and then post when the kids are doing my head in lol.

I've been on this forum nearly 20 years now and cos I go missing for a couple years, I get that feeling of everything being new, but within a couple of weeks, despite trying to resist temptation, I find myself back to adding my tuppence to complete Ali hate, as well as trying to temper some Ali worship/idolatry. Some Duran here, Leonard there, SRR everywhere that a Mayweather is lauded as the best ever.

Yeah, when my pa was alive, he always said that Hagler's best performance was probably against Sibbo, which is unfortunate cos as great as Hagler was, if you want to be critical, his career defining performances are feasting on smaller men and why didn't Hagler go up. He liked Eubank a lot and saw beneath the facade, really respected his bravery, chin and good reflexes, but that he stopped being a killer, for want of better term, after the Watson tragedy.

Boxing is literally one of the few great things I shared with him. He hated what it was becoming once ITV stopped championing the British scene and we went pay as you go for spectacle and fluff.

Sort of on the subject - how long do you have to have been an acceptably active member before they award you Long Service Leave here?

I’ve been on unpaid leave here before - leave that I didn’t ask for - but thanks all the same - that “leave” of course was a different story.

I guess the unpaid leave has pushed my long service back even further.

A gold watch upon retirement seems so long away but I’d prefer a fit bit if anyone’s listening. :D

He rocked him briefly with a right uppercut towards the end of round 5. He recovered fast but he was shook momentarily.
