"Great" fights you consider overrated?

I can't be alone in this. There's lots of cliche legendary matches that we just think aren't as good of fights as they are touted. They usually involve big time fighters in fights of mega signifigance. But beyond the hype, stars, and consequences, the actual fight is something of a let down. Or, not as good as is often portrayed.

    What are yours?

The one that always immediately came to mind when I thought about is Hearns-Leonard 1. Yes I know, blasephmy. But really, when you get past the dramatic ending and the fact that these were two of the best welters of all time, most of the fight was very tedious. At least to me anyways.

I've said it before and I say it again. Foreman - Lyle

Both man got knocked down, yeah. Entertaining? Yes of course but neither man showed any boxing skills at all. If you just wants too see raw power you might as well throw 2 bears into the ring, and it would be just as entertaining.
That is why I think this one is the most overrated boxing-match ever.

But it was a good brawl.

    I agree.

It's only become a "classic" because it gives everyone an excuse to worship at the shrine of the youthful and handsome Cassius Clay.
And Liston's enigmatic personality adds even more interest.

But, it was really an uneventful six rounds, with a farcical ending.

Most people agree that the second Frazier/Ali fight wasn't as great as the other two.

I don't hear anyone calling this one of the greatest fights of all-time. I don't see your point.:huh

Hagler-Hearns. After the first round it was really a one-sided matchup, with Hagler walking Hearns down. Too short as well.

I have never ever seen the fight actually described as "great". A great win, a great performance, but a great fight? :huh

Holyfield - Bowe 1 and 2. Good, but not great.
