    Correct.

    Their error was between rounds repairs and adjustments. And actually repairing damage is the chief seconds duty and not the main trainer anyway. But Mike did not want to pay for a top shelf cutman. And like you said, he certainly did not want a strong disciplinarian trainer--who would have insisted on a great chief second for the heavyweight champion.
