Are you seriously, 100% trying to tell me this would be a sanctioning issue Ippy? The WBA would bend to anything Haye would want considering the potential pile of $ that would be created for them for the potential unification bout.

This is the organisation that endorses - Interim, Regular, Super, Super Unifed champions!! And to say they wouldn't bend for Haye, pff.

Well it looks like it mate because here's the thing- Chagaev can sue them if he's not next. You know as well as I do, you can't promote a fight like this in 8 weeks. HBO wouldn't have a bar of that I'd imagine.

I can be objective on things. I know Haye isn't God's gift. Far from it. I also reckon some of the blame lies with him for the time that this has dragged on. In this instance though, Wladimir has had a shocker. That Adamek's people have come out and said they've been talking as well only further compounds my point.

And as for his legacy, well being the second greatest Cruiserweight of all time isn't too bad. Wladimir needs Haye for his legacy more than David needs him.

Legacy's - when fighters mention the word it makes me cringe. Seeing themselves as the 'third person' before they''ve retired, ****ing hell please!

My respect for his 'legacy' at H/W are to state the obvious - non existant. My respect for his 'legacy' (**** I even hate using the word!) at Crusierweight deserve that - respect. I wouldn't call it a legacy, I'd call it, his acheivements.

Let's remember - won the WBC and WBA Crusierweight titles - first defence added the WBO and Ring if I remember correctly also?

That's hardly a legacy - one defence! Too many fighters have acheived far, far, greater in terms of 'legacy' than this!

Can we drop the stupid word 'legacy from the vocab, it's a ****ing disgrace.

I respect a great many champions, but one's who have a legitmate claim to 'legacy' I could count on one hand - Haye ain't one of them.

Go through his list of defences. Name one that would give Riddick Bowe trouble... Haye can beat both Wladimir and Vitali and still wouldn't go into my top ten of all time. His resume wouldn't be good enough. Michael Spinks would be ahead of him.

Not at all, but he certainly deserves some criticism for not making a fight the division is crying out for. Do you not agree?

You're right about that. But credit where it's due, they're good at what they do. There's plenty of boxers out there that I don't particularly like, the Klits aren't on their Pat Malone.

'The 2000 Olympic gold medallist, who picked up more than £1.5million despite landing just one punch during November's fight in Manchester, has always insisted his pedestrian start was because his plan was to take Haye into the later rounds and then open up'.

    Open up what?

    His guard? His lunchbox?
