I am one of those. And it must be said I think he can compete, not necessarily win. Reasons for me are that Courtney is an exceptional boxer. I'd go as far as to say he's probably one of the most well schooled we've got in the division. I like Clev and hope he can push onto world level, but at this stage we havent really seen him against a top level boxer that can cause him headaches. Wins over Oakey and McIntosh are good wins, but not really the type of fighters that would have given him a puzzle to figure out. I think Fry is a fighter that will show us whether Clev has it upstairs and/or whether his recent display of power punching is for real. Fry's a good fighter that hasnt really been given a fair crack of the whip yet so I'm equally excited about seeing him face Clev as I am seeing Clev face Fry. Just my two penneth worth...
Skys coverage so far has been ok since the Friday Night boxing came back some good local fights. I just hope they pick up some more world title fights from the US even if it is delayed it is better than nothing.
I have yet to see anything from Fry that shows me he is an exceptional boxer. Have seen 3-4 of his fights, never looked great and always though he was over rated as an amateur. Light Heavyweight has been a very weak division domesticly for the past 5 years and Fry should have dominated but he hasnt.
Anyone with a good punch i would say has a good chance. I never seen Brook take a good shot but his chin is hanging for anyone to hit it hopefully jennings will clear those questions. Still think Brook will win but give us a better look at him.
If Rhodes shows up in excellent shape and motivated, which he should be, then this fight is a great and possibly the last opportunity for him. I think Rhodes will perform in this one. Hope he bags a WBC shot after.
