What a KO that was...Pulev was down what...4 times total? Pulev was one of the best opponents in years, he's a very good fighter, and Wlad, (AT 38!!), DESTROYED HIM! What a KO!! Lots of action in the fight, great "new" debut on HBO for Wlad! 3-fight deal, so at least 2 more to go :happy :happy
It has been a bad few weeks for Klit haters. The HBO deal and an amazing performance against the guy who was the heir apperant.
The dumb****s were making out Pulev to be someone he clearly wasn't. Pulev was beating up bums and whenever he met guys who were clearly B level and past their best he still struggled like crazy. I really enjoyed seeing Wlad destroy him.
Pulev is a damn bum. It don't take much for Wlad insane fans to grow a boner. I've said for years what a bum Pulev is.
That was the perfect performance from Klistchko to make HBO come back on board again. I think we'll see Klitschko vs Jennings next in America.
While it was a good fight with a nice KO to finish it. It will take more than that to erase the memory of his other performances in previous fights. If Wilder can actually beat Stiverne this might result in a nice payday for Wlad which is the most likely reason that HBO suddenly have an interest in showing Wlad fights again. The possibility of a US fighter in a unification fight with Wlad could see a record payday for Wlad.
That's probably what HBO is hoping for. Wilder - Klitschko could be big in the States if Wilder could indeed win and make a 1-2 low-risk defenses to improve his profile and make the talk-show rounds.
K2 also has leverage as GGG's promoter. HBO is riding with GGG as one of their boxing program's main attractions and they probably don't want any chances of relinquishing their investment in him.
This is the Wladimir most people want to see. He was committed to doing damage from the outset and actually could have finished the fight in the first round. An emphatic return to Home Box Office.
