"The criteria is this—how good they were at their best and they should at least defend the title a couple times, and how often they were at their best." and i start it from 1960

    15. Ken Norton he lost every time he stepped up but i had to fill in the 15th spot
    14. Chris Byrd slick very talented and underappreciated fighter, with very good wins
    13. Riddick Bowe had a shorter prime then tyson, beat 3 good guys, not enough to be placed higher
    12. Floyd Patterson today he would be a light heavy, but had good wins and a couple of title fights
    11. Sonny Liston not enough title defences but a great fighter
    10. Joe Frazier great fighter but had just 5 title defences
    9. Vitali Klitschko has a couple of defenses against very weak competition competition, his brother takes the real contenders, great comeback and still kicking ass at 40
    8. George Foreman i love big george and h2h he is higher but he lost his fight title defense to ali and beat then moorer 20 years later. not enough to be placed higher
    7. Mike Tyson his prime was too short, ruled also a weak era but was a destroyer
    6. Wladimir Klitschko imo he can move up, he ruled a weak era but his dominance in unbelievble, and very high ko ratio, in the end he will have 20 wins as a champ
    5. Rocky Marciano unbeaten but fought only past it fighters
    4. Larry Holmes ruled a weak era but looked incredible
    3. Lennox Lewis beat everyone but was to cocky and lazy to be placed higher
    2. Evander Holyfield small heavyweight who fought all and beat everyone besides lewis
    1. Muhammad Ali most quality wins

Decent list. There's something wrong with Holmes at 11, Dempsey at 8, and Johnson at 5. Those are the biggest sticking points past Vitali being obviously too high but if he rates H2H for half of his criteria then I can't complain.

I'd probably have a different order, but this lists collection of names is pretty good.

Stop talking out of your arse, yes agreed Vitali shouldnt be above holyfield, maybe not on that list period....but if he isnt, cant see how wlad can be, who has been KTFO a few times, and had big brother come to the rescue to avenge against sanders

Well to be fair to Wlad so was Lennox Lewis. Wlad is better than Vitali.

Top 15 is a bit difficult to establish for me, but top 10, I more or less have the same, but in a different order, with the exception of Lewis:

    1. Muhammad Ali
    2. Joe Louis
    3. Jack Johnson.
    4. George Foreman
    5. Joe Frazier
    6. Mike Tyson
    7. Jack Dempsey
    8. Sonny Liston
    9. Larry Holmes
    10. Rocky Marciano
