Great fight! Even though I was yelling for Nate to knock him out, I was really impressed by the skill and grit of Funeka. I look forward to seeing him again.

Where did you end up sitting WWM?

His chin looked somewhat questionable but Campbell was pretty big,he won't be fighting guys who don't make weight forever.Katsidis should eat the long jab all day but it wouldn't take much for him to take Funeka down.

YO i felt the same exact way.... i was so torn

because i actually like nate campbell for the fact htat he worked so hard to gain what he has..

but i thought at points ali was just giving it to him and possible deserved the nod..... but what i saw in person probably looks different than on tv

    but i was in section i think 114 or 115 ....

which was directly behind the red corner (nates corner)

gary russel jr was actually the card to he fought a 4 round fight and won a ud..... he looked pretty decent i was hoping for a ko but the guy he was facing was pretty good

Personally I like Funeka, he was boxing well and showed that he could get up off the floor shake off the cobwebs to carry on. I believe if it weren't for Nate's appeal to the boxing world in general he may have lost that decision but it will make Funeka work harder in my opinion to make sure he doesn't get jobbed again by the judges. The 2 knockdowns were possibly what lost him that fight.

and just think how big of a step up in competition nate must have been for him .... he fought in africa for his first twenty something fights.... and all those guys were probably just C level fighters...

nate is an experienced vet who's been through the grinder and knows the tricks of the trade..... i really hope it works out for funeka and he doesnt just disapear

I was in section 120 (close to Funeka's corner) sat very close to Glen Johnson. Nate was unbelievable in the beginning with his pace and pressure. He clearly tired in the middle rounds while Funeka seemed to get stronger. I was very impressed by both fighters.

    Great night of action.

I was really impressed and felt bad for him, if it werent for those Knockdowns he probably would of won.

The lightweight division stays deep even with Campbell moving up, Funeka emerges in Nate's spot IMO.

Well said Walk, how can you not respect Nate's perseverance story but it was also hard not to root for Funeka last night. He is a very impressive fighter with all the attributes and gave it every ounce he had. I think a lot of fans may get emotionally attached and support the guy after seeing how crushed he was about coming up just short. That last knockdown was the difference between poverty and future paydays. Hope it works out for Ali Funeka. Nate showed a lot of class by praising him too.
