It didn't have the hype other fights had, but it had all the ingredients, counter puncher vs offensive beast, futch vs. roach. knockdowns both ways and a dramatic ending.

    I thuroughly loved it.

The action wasnt sustained enough for me, i just didnt think enough happened between those dramatic knock downs:conf
I watched Yaqui Lopez-Matthew saad Muhammad today, one of the greatest light-heavyweight fights I have ever seen. Filled with back and forth action:thumbsup

Saad Muhammad is one of my favorite fighters of all time, along with Eddie Mustafa Muhammad.

Those guys knew how to fight on the inside, god damned! :good:happy

Its allot easier to look at things in the past through hindsight which is what you are effectively doing, people were justified imo in there reasoning for picking Hatton at the time.:good

Matthew always gave everyone their moneys worth, one of the most exciting fighters around. I can understand why you would like him:good

Yaqui Lopez was also an excellent, entertaining fighter, who was unluck to be opperating in the golden age of light-heavyweight boxing.

Pretty much only Bazooka and a few die hard Hatton fans alongside notoriously patriotic english folks picked Hatton to win.

Come to think about it, a few *****s picked Hatton on the basis of Ricky working alongside Floyd Sr.

    Thats about it.

Some people acted like Pac was facing the english version of Chavez with all the talk about how Hatton would overwhelm Pac with pressure, and who can forget the all Pac cant take it to the body brigade saying Hatton would knock him out with a bodyshot.

The truth is that it was pretty obvious that Hatton simply wasnt good enough to beat Pac just like he wasnt good enough to beat Mayweather, He was never at their level.

Now how the **** did you come to that conclusion?

    How was he a scumbag?

He did loads for charities in Britain, opened a youth centre in hyde and his best friend had a motor neurone disease

Why do you hate Hatton so much

Was this the Hatton who fought Tyuzu? No, not a chance. Been in too many wars, even Lazcano had him out on his feet so this really wasn't an accomplishment by any stretch

Once again, Pacquiao cherry picker a Mayweather leftover who was over the hill............

    Time and time again

But who really beat Hatton? This man deserves all the credit, he is the GOAT and beat an undefeated Hatton when he still had some life and a chin

    Floyd Mayweather

Fools, you don't understand. It has nothing to do with it being a memorable, competitive action packed fight or anything.

It has everything to do with the black guy knocking out the white guy. Great fight, great night, indeed.

    Other Great Fight, Great Nights.

    Brewster/Wlad I
    Cooney/Holmes
    Briggs/Sergei
    Morrison/Mercer

    :patsch Read the post again.

He was calling Floyd Mayweather Senior a classless scumbag, not Ricky Hatton.

I love the sight of a white man falling to the canvas, a black man hovering over him, his proud conqueror. I don't care how disappointing and boring the fight was, great fight, great night.

Nights like that man, great fight, great night. All I got to say, makes me feel glad to be alive and proud to be a boxing fan.

When Mayweather laid Hatton out, I ran through the streets naked, stroking my Johnson. Proud, Strength, POWER!

I DIG, FINESSE, I DIG SO HARD!

    Great fight, great night.

The sight of the white devil crumbling to the canvas, Mayweather, the only boxer that matters, standing proud, strong, and powerful!

    My favorite fight, evah!

If I said "black devil" I would be called a rascist

You've just said white devil, you should be banned
