I don't find JHL's resume great at all . He might have been d best LHW of a weak era . Don't know if he ducked any1 but luckily 4 him he managed 2 miss Jimmy Bivins , Arnold Cream , Archie Wright , Charley Burley , Loyd Marshall , Ken Overlin , Teddy Yarosz , etc . He had d benefits of being different time&weight combination from these men (but could fight Cream) , don't know who was there 4 him 2 even duck by d time he reigned as d 175lbs titlist , maybe no1 , but it seems like a weak division 4 me , even if not d weakest which i didn't claim here .

    DLH has already been mentioned.

Trinidad comes to mind. Enjoyable to watch, but never bought into him the way others did.

Jones. Guy just would not sign contracts to fight the A list guys in their prime or guys showing good form. Tons of title bouts against the c and B grade guys. And the 40 year old McCallum or 33 pounds higher Vinny Pazienza bouts for my liking. Especially when there were so many other guys to fight instead and we the fans got handed a steady diet of 10-1 underdogs.

Roberto Duran, don't ask me why but i've just never taken to him. I've always been more of a Leonard or Hagler fan. Also anythin pre 20's has never interested me either. I am only 29 though so things could change.

The main one is Henry Armstrong. Great, great fighter...just doesn't do it for me at all.

There's alot of arrogance on this Classical forum. Alot of you are far more articulate than what you'll find on the General forum; but you're facetious too.

How can you sit and say a man is not great when you admit to only having seen one of his fights?

How can you call a Boxer irrelevent? All Boxers are relevant; from the Robinsons to the Marcianos, to the K brothers, to Mickey Ward, even the club fighter you or I have never heard of. They are all a huge part of this sport; and to say overwise is just stupid.

I have no desire to watch Gene Fullmer fight. Little desire to watch Locche and I'm sure he was a great. The couple minutes I watch of him just turn me off. I do think a lot of fighters had the abillity to do what he did but they chose to be more offensive and take more risks.
    - Toney, Tua.
    - Although I appreciate Whitaker and would put him in my top 30, I think many go overboard on him a bit.
    - Calzaghe. I've seen him, rate him, don't need to see any more.
