Who said one-sided fights can't be exciting? Pacquiao put on another boxing masterclass vs. the actual Top Rank fighter and showed why he's the no1 fighter in the world today. Forget the bogus title on the line and focus on the great performance: Pac came close or actually shut out a dangerous fighter 15 pounds heavier than him, but boy Margarito showed heart overcoming the huge disparity in speed and skills to the point of hurting his foe to the body. But the PacMan shook it off and once again fought fire with fire to brutalize the Mexican fighter and give the fans something exlosive.

Speaking of Margarito... after watching Pac turning Cotto's face to a bloody mess and admitting of being lucky to survive the 6th... does anyone still believe Margarito doesn't have genuine punching power and definitely used illegal wraps before?

I think this is the first fight in a while where I dont have anything negative to say. Pac was a phenom and Margarito has gained my full respect. That was boxing at its best. I got my moneys worth big time.

I thought that Pac, once again... looked amazing. The man is simply on another level. We are really lucky to be able to witness an amazing ATG fighter like him.

Margarito also impressed me. First... he has such a big heart. Second... I thought that he proved, at least to me, that the big "hand wrap" scandal is blown out of proportion. Even if he used them in his other fights, it clearly doesn't seem like it would have made that much of a difference. Pac was more banged up than I have seen him in a long time. Margo also showed that he could do more damage to Pac than other big guys like Cotto or Clottey.

    Very entertaining fight.

It was a nice card all together. At the same time I watched Haye-Harrison triller just before so it was difficult to get excited for anything else. See Harrsion win a round without trowing an actual punch like 'the wisp' was something special

What would you know about heart dumbass,at least Margarito had the balls to go 12 rounds with pacquaio after taking a bad beating. A lot of good fighters wouldnt have been able to last the full 12 rounds after taking pacquiaos best shots btw how long do you think you could have lasted with
    Pacquaio?:good

Great performance by a great fighter. I didnt gain any respect for Margarito though. It stayed about the same. He isnt a quitter and I expected him to take his beating like a man. He behaved like a fighter in the biggest fight of his life should have. But did it have anything to do with the handwrap scandal, no. does his stock go up, no. He was given a gift by being given this title shot and huge paycheck. As for Robert Garcia, I respect him as a trainer and person, but I actually think his stock goes down. he should have stopped the fight.

After seeing the damage Tony inflicted on Miguel's face, it doesn't surprise me that Cotto swelled up badly vs Manny. Clearly, Pacquiao has the power to lump people up as we've seen in many recent fights. However, I also think the previous tissue damage to Cotto's face contributed to his disfigurement in the Pacquiao fight. After bad enough damage (whether due to plaster or not), the tissues of the skin and flesh lose their integrity and develop scarring which will swell up and tear more easily upon further injury.

As for Manny's admission of being hurt indicating Tony's legit power, I don't think it means much. Clearly Marg has bulked up since the suspension as evidenced by his inability to make 147 anymore. I believe this was his way of improving his punching power now that he is fighting without special pads. Consider that Manny's ring weight of 148 is what you might expect a junior welter or even lightweight to weigh on fight night. How many of the top 140 pounders do you think could take a clean body blow from 165lb Margarito and not be hurt? More telling would be to see how an elite 154 pounder fares against Tony and whether or not they said he was able to hurt them. The best test would be if Cotto rematched him as he'd be able to compare the punching power first hand.

The weight disparity doesn't change the fact the Margo withstand a horrible beating. 95% of the fighters would have quit. It wasn't a question of chin
