It can be a favourite fighter taking a beating, a great fighter dominating but being dirty or showboating, or maybe just a great fighter's style that you don't get on with. Any reason.

Have at it lads, let's hear it.....

To kick things off, I hate seeing Saad getting his arse kicked by Qawi, great display though it was. One of my all time faves, a likeable humble bloke getting beaten handily when he was on the slide by a guy who always struck me as a bit of a t*** and underachieved afterwards.

How about Saad/McIntyre? I never liked the Fenech--Holiday one. Just do not seeing the tough guys go out like that. Terrific performance by Holiday though.

Jacquot having his way with Curry was bad. Pretty much what I call a sauerkraut fight. No matter what food you join it with or add it to, it still tastes like sauerkraut. And Donald looked like a guy that lost all his reflexes.

Arguello--Pink Cat Walker. Geez, Alexis losing to a guy wearing pink trunks. Just following him around the ring and being unable to pull the trigger.

Don’t particularly like watching Leonard-Duran II and Leonard-Hearns. A bit too much running and holding in Duran II for my taste. Also too much running and retreating in the first five rounds against Hearns and part of me has always wished that Hearns would have been able to hold on (literally) to win the decision. Great performances though.

Sadly, they BOTH committed suicide. Such a waste.

Dwight Braxton TKO 6 Matthew Saad Muhammad
    Jose-Luis Ramirez KO 5 Cornelius Boza-Edwards

These would have been competitive wars if Saad and Boza were prime.

Such shade thrown on Leonard in this post.

Leonard fought smart in both those fights.

One would think you'd dislike Leonard/Duran II because Duran QUIT, but instead you criticize the winner.

Leonard smartly stayed away from Hearns in the early rounds, than showed his adaptability by becoming more aggressive and hurting Hearns in the middle rounds, which then forced Hearns to move and box. Enjoyable tactical fight. I am glad Leonard finished Hearns off in the late rounds. That is more satisfying, to me, then seeing a guy limp to the finish line.

What can I say? I’ve been accused of being a Leonard fanboy in the past, and I think he’s damn near unbeatable at welterweight when he uses his legs, but I just don’t enjoy watching those fights.

I actually enjoy watching Duran quit though, if only because I enjoy the desperate excuse-making and rationalizations in his behalf from guys who regularly ridicule and dismiss other fighters for quitting under fare more compelling circumstances.

Arguello taking the pasting from Pryor, with all that controversy it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

77-late 1980 Franklin KNOCKSOUT Braxton. On this (I saw Matt Franklin live many times) I have no doubt. Matt backs up Braxton, takes his heart (much like Spinks with 1 first rd right hand), chews him up and spits him out. And I liked 80-82 Braxton. The Matt I saw in those years hit harder when riled than any lt.-heavyweight I EVER saw. And he was the king of the fire-fights! Love you champ. Hope to meet you someday.

Just how past his best was Braxton at the time of that bout? Same question in regards to the Boza Edwards fight, which I actually watched recently. Exceptionally brutal fight, I'd hate to take a guess on how many flush right hands and power shots to the head Edwards takes over the course of this bout. Ramirez was absolutely relentless until he got his stoppage, like a shark smelling blood in the water.

    Please, tell us more.

Which MSM fights did you see live? Which was your favorite of those where you were in the house?

I’d love to hear any stories, including your trip, people you met or the atmosphere, etc.

NOTHING to me beats live boxing. Even club shows are great fun to attend.

Chavez administering the brutal beating to Rosario. Pretty sure I read Rosario was an addict by then although I don't want to diminish Chavez most impressive win
The beatings Little Red took from Sal were hard to watch.
As mentioned above Saad's beating from Braxton.
