Because we live in the google reality show generation ..The more cameras you put on these people the more people eat it up !
good point you have some real ***** made fights like margo(e)-emmanuel that end up doing well anyways. I'm not going to go into detail about all the things that were wrong about that fight
I didn't pay **** for Pac-Mosley. (well tbh I almost never pay for fights, except I pitched in a couple for their most recent) Their upcoming fights I was genuinely interested in seeing anyway
Haye v Harrison takes the biscuit. Just shows just how gullible and ill informed the casual fan really is.
I don't pay for fights I know won't be fun to watch, or are a one-sided beat down waiting to happen. . . I haven't bought a PPV from either Mayweather, nor Pacquiao in a while. . . I bought Pac/Cotto, and Mayweather/Hatton. . . I'll probably go to the theatres to watch Mayweather/Cotto. . . I plan on buying Pac/Bradley because I really think Bradley can make it a tough fight. Some guys like to "brag" about PPV buys. . I never got that? Unless I'm getting some of the cut, i could care less about what they are getting paid. . . I just care about seeing good fights.
Blind allegiance. It's a phenomenon in all aspects of life, not just sports. I personally did not buy May vs. JMM, Pac vs. Margo, Mosley, or Clottey for example. I knew they were all mismatches and the undercards did not overly excite me. However, the loyal followers for Mayweather, Pac, and JMM assured huge paydays by willingly forking over cash for those same mismatches.
Mosely Pac? That was such a gay fight, knowing they only fought him cause they absolutely knew he was done. Going from hell no at even 140... to a few years ready for the taking.
margo(e) one did. 1.15mil. sounds legit mosley one on the hand was unofficial and did what 1.3mil. bull****
Arum doesn't want to confirm because it will hurt Manny with the Mayweather negotiations. Looking at common opponents...it's pretty one sided for Floyd...very bad for Manny in negotiations. Numbers don't lie De La Hoya Mayweather 2,400,000 De La Hoya Pacquiao 1,200,000 Hatton Mayweather 920,000 Hatton Pacquiao 850,000 Marquez Mayweather 1,005,000 (took 5 months to build and promote) Marquez Pacquiao 3 1,450,000 (took 7 years to build and promote) Mosley Mayweather 1,400,000 Mosley Pacquiao 1,300,000 (official numbers were never released and estimations are more like 1,100,000) Take the average in common opponents and it is very one sided in favor of Mayweather. Twist it n turn it how ya want *******s...the numbers are what they are.. And the numbers since a common factor in De La Hoya fighting both men are in favor of Floyd by 240,000 buys per fight. That's a lot.
