Great robberies of the sport, why is there no overturning a bad decision?

99/100 times we never even get an investigation of a bad decision, so when we get a shite decision a fighter should just accept being ****ed over.

One recent account of this is Denis Lebedev - Marco Huck.

Why shouldn't there be an option to overturn a bad decision? I mean we all know once a scorecard is read, even if a bad one, thats something we should just accept and move on from?

These corrupt judges never put on a glove in their life, and they're controlling the fate of people who was in the gym and bled for it while they sat on their behinds getting fat.

Because that would suck badly, clsoe fights being changed etc. best thing is a rating system for judges in my opinion. bad judges cant egt good fight other judges prove themselves in lesser fights.
I dont mean someone scoring pac marquez 2 115-112 or something more a guy like the judge who scored williams martinez 1 118-110, those guys have their scorecard written up beforehand and dont deserve big fights

i understand your frustration, but its a very slippery slope. more work should be done on the front end to avoid a situation where were all up in arms.

How would you decide where a bad decision ends and a robbery starts?

depends on the judges and the fights I think but maybe 2-6k per fight is my guess.
Therefore if you make 30/40 per year with fights and some snake shows up that gives you first class tickets to the lakers and a vacation to the bahamas in a 5 star hotel or a big envelope that doubles your paycheck a lot of guys lose their íntegrity.
That one guy that scored leonard hagler 118-110 for srl is a guy I seriously suspect of this. Don king is also known for doing this ****.

^^^^^^ BRAVO. This is the key. There aren't that many robberies out there. Only close and perhaps controversial decisions.

Yup, I never understood why they don't hire former fighters to be judges. Say someone like DeMarcus Corley

maybe but there are some fights that are clear robberies, shumenov vs campillo being one of them. sturm vs de la hoya another.
Their should be a investigation for the judges then.

    Hello,

Firstly, I would like to premise this email by stating that as a fan of boxing for many years, I have a great amount of respect for the NSAC and the amazing fights and events that have taken place under your jurisdiction. Among state-run boxing commissions around the world, the NSAC is one of the most reputable.

I am writing this email following a world championship fight that occured in Nevada on Friday January 29th between WBA World Champion Gabriel Campillo of Spain and challenger Beibut Shumenov of Kazakhstan. The bout was aired live on Fox Sports World and after witnessing a compelling 12 round contest that thrilled its spectators as no sport other than boxing can, we were left with a sour taste in our mouth when the official result was announced.

In what seems to be a result tainted by corruption, the NSAC is the only entity that we the fans can rely on to independently investigate the situation to ensure that there was no foul play involved. Certain parties who could have manipulated results for monetary or other gain could be oblivous to the kind of negative effect that these actions have on the marketability and reputation of the sport of boxing and its governing bodies.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message.

    Regards,

you know I tried to get at their integrity. didn't get a reply.

    Define robbery.

A 7-5 fight cannot be a robbery and an 8-4 with several close rounds isnt neither IMO.

Most judges don't like to give 10-6 rounds because it puts the fighter who was knocked down in too deep a hole to come back from. Knock downs aren't really a main priority in scoring anyway.

Word. Next time try to get a some other posts to send some. I'm in.
