    I think Tyson would have known that because of Cus and learnt by example, he admired and copied his heroes of yesteryear, like his hair being cut like Dempsey`s and not wearing socks like Dempsey into the ring.

    Twenty years later they asked Pintor if he would come over and unveil a statue in honour of Johnny in his home town, with which he duly obliged.

    Nino Benvenuti had Emile Griffith as godfather to one of his kids and helped him out. He was also a good friend to Carlos Monzon.

    More respect than sportsmanship I suppose. But to be lauded nonetheless.
