I had to ask cause I have only seen one of his fights and he didn't look like a swarmer to me but it was very late in his career. I will have to check him out :good

I have to agree. I've watched many Frazier fights and never really thought of him as a "typical" Pryor type swarmer.
Smokin Joe did throw combinations though, but he usually preferred to throw hard power shots to bunches of lighter ones.

heavey wieght Marciano was a good swarmer he made every punch count he'd hit you anywhere. and they all took there toll he'd leave guy with bursted blood vessles and cracke ribs and bones

He has the most extensive resume of all time. And the guy you quoted was clearly joking, as there is no footage of Greb in action known to exist.

I'm not sure about that. I could swear I'm seen a clip of greb before.

Not in action you haven't. You've probably seen the same clips everyone else has seen, of him shadow-boxing, throwing some awkward punches for the camera, or him flexing his muscles. No actual fight footage of the man exists other than according to rumors of it being hidden by certain anonymous holders(assholes at that).

been looking for the oppertunity to post about one of my favourite boxers ever...Khaosai Galaxy...super-flyweight world champ for most of the 80's...and one of the best world champs ever...although he is spoke about very little...
not all of his wins could be described as swarming..he picked his shots more carefully a lot of the time...although he had some great fights where he did swarm all over the opponent...he was a wee savage...a beautiful boxer to watch and a great great champ...

A very young raw Shannon Briggs, if anyone gets a chance watch him destoy Sherman Griffin or any of those first ten opponents.. Mike Marley promised Shannon in his first contract.. an incentive that after 10 wins he would get a new Land Rover.. He was one of the most agressive fighters that i ever saw at heavyweight for tenacity... That was 60 pounds ago though sadly..

He was all over you before you could compose yourself , throwing rediculously fast hard punches by the dozen.

He was a power puncher, not a swarmer, not to mention one of the most overrated fighters I know of, considering his EXTREME lack of competition faced and very lacking overall skills outside of his power.

I can't rate him any higher than 5th at Junior Bantamweight(maybe 6th) with the competition he took on, and the fact that I think a few would've beaten him had the fights been made.

The man had awesome power, but his lack of a real gameplan other than to land a big shot at some point on completely overmatched opponents leads me to believe he'd get outboxed and outmaneuvered handily, as well as tagged repeatedly, by guys like Watanabe, Roman, Konadu, etc. Galaxy would've beaten Moon though based on styles, possibly by stoppage. Tapia is another very interesting fight, I'd probably favor Johnny.

Not a great or HOF fighter, but the definition of a pure swarmer was Troy Dorsey. The guy put his head down threw like 8,000 punches (not hard) per round and NEVER took a backwards step.

Not a lot of skill but entertaining as hell to watch. Fought some good fights against Paez on network TV.

The second I saw this title I thought of Aaron Pryor. The guy was amazing. Just watched his first fight with Alexis Arguello yesterday for the first time. What a classic!
