Great undercard fights for September PPV

**** Mosley needs to quit

 

If it's a Mayweather PPV, count on two of his fighters being on the card, and definitely not against each other.

Canelo's PPV is far more difficult to predict, but I'd think Santa Cruz could be the co-feature. It's time for GBP to really pump this kid up and he's guaranteed excitement.

 

I loved the undercard to May Day. In fact, I would have been willing to pay the $18 it cost at the movies just for those three fights. If the same card was at The Home Depot Center, I likely buy tickets to go live.

 

Just to make up a quick scenario, I'd be all over this:

Mayweather vs. Danny Garcia
Mares vs. Castellanos
Victor Ortiz vs. Shane Mosley
JLeon Love vs. Fernando Guerrero

and then in late October or November:

Alvarez vs. Cotto
Robert Guerrero vs. Josesito/Maidana winner
Santa Cruz vs. Hugo Cazares
Gabe Rosado vs. Delvin Rodriguez

I think that's pretty realistic. I'd be satisfied.

I'd rather have one card in September though which is:

Mayweather vs Alvarez
Mares vs Santa Cruz
Robert Guerrero vs Josesito/ Maidana winner
Ortiz vs Josesito/ Maidana loser

 

Yes, but this isn't very realistic...

I do like it, though.

 

I doubt any of Floyd's fighters make the main card this time around since all of his guys are still too inexperienced except Love who will be suspended and Ishe who is fighting this summer.

Abner Mares will be on the card again from what I heard

 

He maybe on the undercard on a Mayweather fight on September, like he always says...''I feel like the younger Mosley''

 

Forgot about the Love suspension, good point. This'll be the first Mayweather PPV without one of his guys getting on the telecast since Mosley, I believe.

 

yeah it feels kinda weird. I like your idea to put Gabriel Rosado back on the card though. He deserves more exposure

Mares is in an interesting position. He's signed with Golden Boy who could use him as a negotiating tool or take him to Canelo's PPV if Floyd doesn't fight Canelo. I know I use every tool I have for my clients.

 

there will almost certainly be a mexican fighter in each undercard fight or at least 2 of them.
