Yeah, the realistic odds are much closer to 50:50 I reckon - I'm pretty tempted to bet against Parker... don't tell the other Kiwis
Parker Takam is an interesting fight for many reasons as most of you guys have mentioned Too early maybe? maybe....maybe not. Parker has fast straight punches and manages his range fairly well. How solid is his jaw is another thing we may get to find out. Takam has a style that i think Parker can handle if he fights to the gameplan Kevin Barry constructs for him, which will be fight at range and punch long, occasionally getting closer to attack his body when he covers up. If Parker loses it won't be the end of the world for him. Fighting his best ever opponent for all the marbles is a risk his promoters are taking due to the edge they must think Parker has over Takam. I don't think Takam bangs hard enough on the surface of it all, but i do think he will get to land more leather than Parker is used to taking. Parker had to step up sometime, and this is the time.:good
Takam is a solid fighter but he doesn't bring anything physically that will trouble Joe. Takam needs to bring a great game plan and needs to implement it well. Takam has to use his experience to outbox and out hussle Joe. If Takam fights smart and puts doubt in Joes mind he could pull the upset, but it will be an upset
Still decent enough. It's a bit of a kicker that Wilder - Povetkin isn't happening but there is still plenty to watch.
Burger Squad avoided Takam 3 times... opting to fight... Schoolboy Molina... French Pastry Chef Duhaupuss... and... Soccer Hooligan Szpilka... instead!!! :deal
Is Briggs actually fighting Dimitrenko though? Last I heard, Dimitrenko denied it and boxrec still had Briggs opponent down as TBA...
