need to get santa cruz quick....cause frampton is very tight at the weight...and at the age to naturally be moving up a weight.....he looked great at the weigh in for photos...but that is like cling film over his body rather than skin....he has to be finding it very hard to do that, surely ?......surprised me he was half a pound inside

I don't think you're far wrong regarding the weight. He looked totally dehydrated for the weigh in.

Saying that though, the man has absolute dynamite in his fists, and if there's one thing that makes you successful in the pro game, it's having genuine one punch ko power.

Frampton is a top lad, has a good head on his shoulders and I hope he makes it to the top.

I was at the fight last night and the atmosphere was electric. Pity Belfast the city is shite though. Bring the boy down south, at least we can go and have a gargle afterwards

You know when you are dealing with Tampax X when all he can spell is Troll.

What is wrong with stating the facts.

    1. Profile:
Carl Frampton is losing profile outside Belfast with his fights hidden away to a small TV audience on Boxnation.

    2. Boxnation:
There is not the demand for a viable dedicated single sport channel even for the most popular sports including football, golf or formula 1.

Not enough UK boxing on Boxnation and the US boxing is on when most of the target audience have pulled in nightclubs and are rightly more interested in servicing the ladies.

The diehards have already subscribed, there is no big queue of new subscribers waiting around the corner, many people have cancelled subscriptions and the channel is grossly overpriced for the casual fans at £12 per month or £30 PPV for a weekend.

The Boxnation channel is now increasing costs to cover the lost subscriptions as they need to break even at least to keep going.

    3. The Future:
Sky and BT will have totally wrapped up the boxing scene by the end of 2015 as the Boxnation business model is simply not viable long term in terms of both price and product.

If i'm looking at Carl Frampton and Leo Santa Cruz regarding their fight in the summer. I really feel that Frampton is a level above Santa Cruz. LSC is a fighter who aims to out work a fighter via volume of punches. Frampton has the power, hand speed and shot selection to be able to beat him. I feel he is the second best super bantamweight in the world after Rigo.

    Agreed. :good
Elite level defence - like Rigo- might keep you safe from Carl fair enough.

But elite level toughness and workrate - like - LSC probably wont be enough.

I know there have been fighters in the past who have gone a long way on toughness and workrate - including recent Irish champs like Steve Collins and Wayne McCullough.
But I just think at this stage Carl has a bit too much quality for LSC.

Frampton and his legions of fans will be surprised at the toughness and skill of Santa Cruz.He is no walk in the park and I expect him to outpoint Frampton by a wide margin,IF the fight is in the US.All bets off if the fight is held in Ireland.

BS. LSC is the one being overated. LSC gets beaten up and stopped. LSC style is tailor made for Frampton

You mustnt have been paying attention fats...as far as I am aware no-one, least of all Frampton fans are "underselling" LSC.
We are all only too happy to say how good Leo is.

But I find it hard to see a fighter who relies so heavily on a limited variety of work beating a quality operator like Frampton. Toughtness and workrate may not be enough to beat Carl at this stage.

If Frampton is so much better than LSC why not go after the main man Rigo?

    We all know why.

Went over to Belfast for the fight on Friday and had a great time. Frampton is the real deal and i'll be picking him to beat LSC regardless of the venue. Shame the Odyssey is only 9000 capacity for Boxing as it is a great little venue but they'd probably be needing something bigger for the Cruz fight if it can be brought over this side of the pond. Overall though a terrific weekend, superb atmosphere in the arena, great victory for Frampton, excellent pubs and friendly locals, can't wait to go back to what is a great fight city

They've already made it clear they won't take Rigo next. I'm guessing Frampton has a "warm-up" next fight.
