Great win for Pacquiao, but is it just me or...

    You make some nice points.

Pacquiao wanted to prove some points in there about his toughness which is typical of his exciting ring personality.

Cotto was fighting negatively but he was also boxing quite well, making Manny miss and sticking the jab to decent effect.

Floyd can match Pacquiao for speed and he is brilliant at not getting flustered. I don't think I really need to state any more of how efficient Mayweather is capable of being in the ring.

Manny faces a real mountain when those two eventually figure out whose getting paid what.

The shoulder roll is not as effective against southpwas, Cotto pulled it off ok cos hes a southpaw himself.

Roach-Pac went in there with the game plan that Cotto will counter or fight, not run. Im sure they will train for the correct gameplan against PBF...which is how to properly cut off the ring.

This is certainly the fight that Boxing must demand. The reasons go on and on and on. There has never been a better time and it simply must happen. My money will be on Floyd, but Pacquiao is for real. This is going to be one for the ages.

He's still vulnerable to outside boxing, BUT that's what the training camp is for. Cotto isn't much of an outside fighter so of course they didn't work much on that during training camp. If a fight with mayweather does happen, then I assure you he'll improve.

The key to Cotto having success against Pac was the jab and straight right. Cotto didn't use either effectively. Floyd throws mostly lead right hands which Pac should be able to see and avoid, for the most part.

He was standing in the middle of the ring and was frustrated that Cotto was running from him... he didn't think Cotto would be unwilling to engage him.
And if Mayweather runs from Pacman all night (which he would) , he would probably lose a decision in a somewhat boring fight.

Props to Cotto though, he is still one of my favorite fighters and shows true class. He has great heart to stay in there and take that beating.

Cotto is a great fighter, but Pacquiao is just a once in a lifetime type of talent.

The reason Cotto was able to land those punches while running was because Pac gave up on defense and was looking for the kill. What Cotto did the last three rnds was nothing. Yea Pac let himself get hit in these rnds cause it didn't do **** to him and it let him get closer to Cotto. In the end it was Cotto cowering in the corner getting beaten up. Those jabs he threw going backward didn't mean anything.
