You also said to name you the fighter which was better than anyone Hopkins beat on his resume... as Hopkins beat Trinidad... and with ease, it says Hopkins is a much better fighter than Trinidad, therefore a greater name than on Hopkins resume of wins.

As a fan of both Hopkins and Calzaghe, I was probably happier with BHop's victory over Trinidad.

Objectively speaking, however, Joe's win over Hopkins was better. Trinidad moved up to fight Hopkins, and so did Calzaghe. In other words, BHop got to call the shots on the weight each time. Kind of like he did against Pavlik.

The only one of the three (KP, FT, JC) guys who moved in weight to fight Hopkins who got the victory?

    Joe Calzaghe.

I just posted the official scorecard from that fight in another thread:

    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=97641

On two of the three judges' cards, Calzaghe won 7 of the final 8 rounds over Hopkins. In other words, Hopkins did great in that fight. For about 4 rounds.

Hopkins made Trinidad come up in weight. Calzaghe had to go up in weight to fight Hopkins.

Easy call on which performance was better given the circumstances. And, Calzaghe landed the most punches on Hopkins anyone ever has, just in case you want more evidence.

think that was a very good post :good

trinadads natural weight was so much lighter than hopkin's come fight night. bernard had everything in his favour.

like someone mentioned above, calzaghe had a lot to deal with in the hopkin's fight in terms of

    - fighting at light heavy for the 1st time
    - fighting on foreign soil
    - a shocking referee performance
    - being knocked down in the 1st round
    - fighting a man whose main aim was to spoil and make the fight as ugly as possible.

both are great wins for either fighter but to make out that one massively outweighs the other is way off the mark.

Sigh, you become more absurd... hpokins is a legend.. Joe beat him, Felix isn't a legend, but a once good fighter who got dismantled by Hopkins. Felix, who as already pointed out, stepped up a weight to face Hopkins... And yes, Hopkins is as good now as he was back then, whats changed aside from his age? his stanima was even there against Pavlik and speed. Joe made him look exhausted from taking a pounding , hence why people thought his stanima was gone.

Hopkins is a bigger scalp than Trinidad, only a mongo Calzaghe hater would say different, and even to cut their own nose off to spite their face, nullifying Hopkins ''greatness'' tag.

And yes, Performance wise, no one can argue Hopkins out on a better show against Trinidad than Joe did over Hopkins, but Trinidad isn't Hopkins is he :) and no one disputed this, despite your claims to justify you childish hatred of Calzaghe.
