    It is harder to make waves on Pound for Pound list when you have already established figures on there, even if they are beating competition not on their level. They've both got equal importance in my eyes for that reason.

    FOTY just tells me how good you were for a snapshot in time. P4P tells me more of a narrative and longevity of a fighter withstanding the test of time after challenge after challenge. It also tells me of a resume that gets better with each fight.

    If you want an astronomical analogy, FOTY is like a bright meteorite in the night sky while P4P King would be the sun, stars, or a comet. Temporary vs long-lasting. Both will be on the record books but P4P will stay longer in our consciousness.
