Kessler and Lacy were lesser than fighters than who ?? Jacobs ? Don't think so

Or if you mean lesser than Canelo then yeah they were but that's irrelevant because GGG lost and drew to Canelo

It’s not irrelevant when we’re looking at both of their careers.

Again, most people believe that GG won the first Canelo fight. And that was a harder fight for GG than what Lacy was for Joe, because Lacy was a lesser fighter than Canelo.

I foresee this debate going in endless (and pointless) circles. GGG lost to Canelo and that's a fact, if you want to believe GGG won those fights that's great, be my guest but I'll go with the facts and that's Canelo MD GGG

I will compare Canelo abilities vs GGG and Kovalev abilities when Canelo will be 36 years old in the ring.
Until I will see how Canelo will perform vs opponents when he will be 35 and 36 years old, I will not continue to compare them.

Also there are weight classes and sizes.
While ppl gladly wish to compare the same D.M vs Canelo and look at him as German hometown fighter while not to mention that Canelo is a hometown fighter as A side tickets seller, exactly like Otkke was and Sturm too. No difference in officiating here for all of them.
Unlike with D.M, I think prime D.M had gave hell if he fought vs prime Kovalev and prime GGG.
D.M had not been suspected by really normal ppl on stacked cards. Unlike a lot of boxers.

I think he definitely won the first one.

Joe was a great fighter in his own right. But he didn’t do anything to prove that he was levels above GG.

Kessler as opponent, it depends from shape he did had in fight.

Kessler in some fights had even above 50% proportion for punches he had threw / vs had landed.
    No joke in real.
GGG looks that had better amateur credentials than Kessler.
Cool fantasy matchup might be prime Kessler in good shape vs prime GGG in good shape.

Prime Kessler beats Jacobs every day of the week and twice on Sundays IMO.

But then I don't really rate Jacob's that highly, he reminds me a bit of Parker @ Heavvyweight, where he flatters to deceive - has all the tools, and SHOULD be much better than the results and performances show.

Jacobs is not that good either. But Jacobs would tool a straight up and down Robotic guy like Kessler.

I think that is doing Kessler a disservice. Froch went 1-1 with Kessler and you have to be better than a straight up and down robot to beat Froch. Froch beats Jacobs pretty comfortably as well in my book.

Only Calz and Ward could beat prime Kessler and Wards win is somewhat suspect in my book due to his heabutts and low blows.

There is also the counter argument that Lacy was easier for JC because he was a level above GGG. I'm not saying I necessarily subscribe to that, but it could be touted. Who knows what Lacy might have gone on to do if he had never faced Zaggers - or even Dan Birmingham had done him a favour and pulled him out around the 9th/10th. That drubbing ruined him, pretty sure he probably still has nightmares about it!

I know it's the nature of forums and stuff where keyboard warriors show double standards to support their own agenda's but it always irks when folks play the 'Lacy was a hyped bum' card to downplay Calzaghe's resume, whilst on the other hand using Mundo Smith as a #168 argument for Canelo's resume. Just like I'm sure there were some folks in the US not sold on Lacy back in the day, there were many folks in the UK that were not sold on Smith and thought he was way overrated; which Canelo showed IMO.

Read my response. It asks for a simple bit of verification. it speaks volumes that you're having a hard time replying to it. I openly said, give me a bit of verification to what was said, as I noted some questions can be loaded with an agenda, and as soon as I asked that. You couldnt answer. Just like Herol G lol

Really! Very surprised about that, but fair enough. Each to their own

Horn was beaten up by Pac for 9 rounds. Atlas may get prefight predictions wrong but his scoring etc. of fights is usually about right.

Wasn't Atlas dropped from commentating for essentially calling BS on bad scorecards and for disrupting the narrative?
