Why is it that fans that like Felix Trinidad think Hopkins is better than he is ?

Imagine Maywether with a slight size advantage or even equal size vs Trinidad, the raping in that fight would make what Hopkins did look like a close fight.

Mayweather does most things better than Hopkins & that has reflected in their careers, Floyd by a comfortable margin.

If Mayweather doesnt get voted FOTD then boxing has finally went to **** IMO.

    Very close.

I lean towards Hopkins because of the Pavlik win at age 43.

However...Let's imagine Mayweather's resume if he keep on fighting five more years.

i love Hopkins, the guy is probablly the funniset guy in boxing, however the guy is a shamless promoter, the person who has said that Hopkins is a legend more than anyone else is Hopkins, he says it all the time, at the end of the day they are both great fighters but Hopkins has lost more times than Mayeather so i give it to Floyd.

B-Hop. He was already one of the best fighters in boxing circa '97. To be able to that 10 years later is quite amazing. There is something to be said for longevity.

Bernard Hopkins is an extrodinary fighter.

I'm not a Tito fan. :good

We have to speculate to give Floyd a case, whereas Hopkins has proved his worth in the ring. Hopkins dominated Trinidad, Tarver, and Pavlik, wheras Mayweather dominated Corrales, Baldomir, and Gatti.
You can't properly access this because whereas Hopkins has been utilising a lead right against the likes of Pavlik, Mayweather used it against Gatti and Baldomir. This is the story of each fighters careers. Hopkins has a far superior resume, and has dominated the better opposition.

    Horse ****.

Mayweather was the one who claimed to be the greatest fighter that ever lived. A good example of self promotion.

Hopkins has more losses because he took more risks.

2 of the greatest defensive technicians

I have to say B-Hop despite Mayweathers victories in many weight classes.

B-Hop made great comebacks during his career when he was written off a few times.
