I have been massively impressed watching Rodriguez. He also has an insane resume. I would usually rank Jose better, but my mind is being changed.

This. Its virtually impossible to form an absolutely undisputable argument for either one.

For me Rodriguez has the better résumé and is an incredible fighter whilst Napoles is the better fighter with an incredible résumé. So I don't mind either as someone's final decision.

Angelo Dundee ( who trained both of them) always said Rodriguez was better.

    'Greater' or 'better'?

    Greater - Napoles.
    Better - ?

Wow, see in the opposite of this.

    Greater - Rodriguez
    Better - ?
I think Rodriguez has the better résumé and performed better as he moved up in weight.

Napoles by a wafer thin margin.

I don’t know that Rodriguez performed better as they moved up. Remember that Napoles was an avoided lightweight who did great things at junior welterweight and that he only really became a welterweight at 29 when he won the title. Rodriguez performed better as a middleweight but he was a natural full fledged welterweight unlike Napoles.

You won’t find many bigger Rodriguez fans as me. He’s probably one of my 5 favorite fighters ever but I feel Napoles was the better fighter and is the greater of the two but I do like Rodriguez in a mythical head to head matchup.

Napoles looks smoother and more "put together" as opposed to the more angular, jangling, moving style of Rodriguez, but if you wanted to give Napoles a special day in hell it would probably involve fighting a Rodriguez. Tough beyond measure, superb jab, good movement, excellent control of distance, and taller and just bigger than Napoles too. Really tough day for Jose I think, in a head-to-head.

It's odd that he had a field day with Cokes, who happened to be one of the fighters who vexed LMR the most- yet I agree that Rodriguez has the style to give Mantequilla all sorts of problems.
