Man **** Holyfield he only gets ATG status because of his victories against a prison depleted Tyson. Bowe got his arse wooped twice against Golota that will never go on the books because of low blows. Wlad would whoop prime Holyfield and Bowe, and I'm not a lover or hater of either that's just how it is, just because a guy retires and has 12 kids doesn't make him Jesus for ****s sake, grow a ****ing brain prime Holyfield wouldn't have a prayer of beatin Klit now, you're all ****in clowns blinded by years of retirement.
It is close at the moment, but Wladimir Klitschko has achieved more, you only have to check their records. Apart than a win over Holyfield, Bowe's record is very poor.
Have to go with Bowe in this one even though his prime was short lived due to his **** discipline and attitude. WALDO could overtake him if he unifies but even then, unless someone emerges he's only ever faced average comp and still managed to lose 3 times.
Are you actually being serious there? All mocking aside, can you point out to me where WALDOS record looks better than Bowes? I'm curious.
It should have said: "Better fighter, achieved more & would have whooped Waldo's ass." I settled for less anyways.
Bowe would have been sucking down those donuts through a straw after the number Wlad would do on him :yep
Bowe achieved more because he beat Evander Holyfield. But if you take this accomplishment away, then Vlad has the greater achievements. In terms of ability, I'd be willing to say that a peak Bowe would probably have been too much for a peak Vlad. But it's a close call.
Bowe obviously has the superior resume. If Wlad can dominate the division for another 3 or 4 years, we might be able to talk about him being ranked higher, but not yet. Having said that, I think Wlad could actually do pretty well head-to-head. Bowe had a better chin, and was a better infighter. However, Wlad is the heavier hitter, and had faster hands. Better jab, too. Bowe could have beaten Klitschko, but if he came into the fight in poor condition (which he sometimes did), Wlad could have pulled it out. Definitely would have been competitive, regardless. And to those who said Bowe could never have lost to Sanders or Brewster, I say of course he could. It would not be likely, but anything could happen. Sanders and Brewster aren't ATG's, but they're not bums, and on any given night, against an undertrained and unmotivated Bowe (again, a problem he sometimes had), they could pull it off. Not saying it would be likely, but hey, crazier upsets have happened.
Bowe only lost once, and it was to an ATG, Wlad lost 3 times, to journeymen and a club fighter, all by knockout. H2H a prime Bowe kills him, there career achievements are pretty comparable though.
wlad wasnt in his prime in any of those losses. u can tell by his footwork. bowe's prime was so short because he abused his body in between fights and utilized the "Sam Peter" defense by blocking punches with his face. His Golota "wins" are major blows against him when u consider what became of Golota. Bowe was only effective when u stood in front of him. Insane Holyfield exchanged with him instead of using his good foot movement. Wlad would move and use his jab like he did against Brewster in the rematch. Expect 50-60 jabs per round from Wlad and a one-sided decision beatdown.
I'm not saying that isnt possible Kobe, but you must also remember, a prime Bowe would of killed Wlad on the inside with uppercuts and whatever else he decided to throw, and with Wlads weak chin and psyche, it would only be a matter of time before Wlad would panic and get dropped, even on the outside Bowe was pretty good, his overhand rights were deadly, I remember a good boxer in Donald got caught with some of those. I just think Bowe would be too much for old Wlad, Mentally he was the superior boxer.
Of course. Wladimir's notable wins: 1) Axel Schulz 2) Monte Barrett 3) Chris Byrd 4) Jameel McCline 5) Francois Botha 6) Davaryll Williamson 7) Chris Byrd 8 )Calvin Brock 9) Sam Peter 10) Lamon Brewster 11) Sultan Ibragimov Bowe's notable wins: 1) Pinklon Thomas 2) Pierre Coetzer 3) Evander Holyfield 4) Evander Holyfield (obviously this two wins over Holyfield, especially the first one, make this a very close contest) 5) Herbie Hide
You forgot Donald, he was very good boxer at the time, Chris Bryd like I would say, who I believe was undefeated until he met Bowe.
Yes, Donald could be there. But imo he was a bit too green: 16-0. That fight was in 1994 and Donald's prime was in the late 90s.
