Ray Mercer should be included on Wlad's list and Bert Cooper on Bowe's, otherwise it is legitimate proof that Klit's record is much deeper than Riddick's. Bowe had very few quality fighters on his resume. Golota cannot be counted, Bowe was schooled twice, and lucky to come away with a 'win'.

didnt bowe sucker punch him at the press conference :yep

But Donald is no Wlad. Bowe did have a fighter's mentality willing to mix it up and certainly had a solid chin although Holyfield and Golota were not monster punchers like Wlad. I think u underestimate Wlad's ability to force his opponent to fight his fight. Wlad would keep Bowe on the outside and tie him up inside.

Wlad's worst style matchup is against pressure fighters. Peter, Tyson, Foreman, etc..Bowe was more patient which would be to Wlad's advantage

Ray Mercer was shot. If Larry Donald isn't in Bowe's list because he was too green, I won't include Mercer in Wlad's list because he was too old.

    Bert Cooper was a journeyman.

And yes, Golota can't be counted in Bowe's resume. Bowe didn't prove that he was better than Golota in those fights.

And Bowe wasn't so effective against tall fighters. He was great against smaller men. Wlad would be bigger and would use that as an advantage.

He was pretty good, I seen the fight a couple months back, the guy had stellar foot work, and pretty good defense as well, he reminds a little of Chris Bryd. I would also like to include a couple more names Seldon, Dokes, and Tubbs, who are pretty on par with guys like Shultz, Botha, and Williamson.

I agree except that Bowe beat a great fighter in Evander Holyfield. So far, Vladimir has not defeated a fighter of Holyfield's calibre. Thus, for this one reason, Bowe's record deeper than Klitschko's.

If not for Bowe's Holyfield win, of course, Vlad's record would be deeper for the reasons you say and the fact that he has remained at the top much longer than Bowe did.

Fair call on Mercer and Donald, but Cooper gave Moorer and Holyfield good fights and was better than your average journeyman. And I meant Golota cannot be counted as a victory for Bowe as he was thoroughly outclassed in both fights.

If we are gonna use Brock, Williamson, Botha, Mccline, Schulz and Barrett...we also have to include Dokes, Seldon, Tubbs, Tillery and Donald....as they are all on the same level (some better) than all of the names mentioned for Wlad. Add those names in, along with the others (and the big ones over Holyfield) and Bowe is actually alot further ahead than what is being conveyed here.

Not to mention Bowe was the UNDISPUTED champ as well....albeit not for that long...but undisputed none the less.

Then when you add in the H2H aspect...which anyone with an ounce of boxing knowledge would admit a PRIME, IN SHAPE BOWE would absolutely DOMINTATE Wlad....the disparity grows.

exactly, wlad wouldnt slug with him. he outbox and outwit the plodding Bowe. however, Wald's paper mache chin always makes things interesting

no version of riddick bowe would dominate today's Waldo....two reasons: movement and defense

I give a peak Bowe the edge over a peak Vlad, but not by a lot. I think it's a pretty close call. There is the possibility that Bowe would not be able to cope with Vlad's long range jabbing style, especially since Vlad carries heavy power in both mitts.

Once he gets hit and tries to wrap up (which Wlad does everytime he is tagged...which BTW, Im not knocking...with his shortcomings, its a very smart gameplan..)...what happens then??? Bowe's inside game is arguably the BEST EVER at HW (if not best, then DAMN CLOSE). Its not going to be like clinching with Peter...

Yes he did, it was a pretty good one two he caught him with at the conference, Bowe lost some fans over that I think. I would say Golota had comparable power to Wlad, he did have power in both hands. I think you would even agree, that Bowe is a better fighter than Peter, Peter was able to land some of his overhand rights, something a prime Bowe who threw them alot better, would be able to land. I agree Wlad would tie Bowe up on the inside, but I also see Bowe timing Wlad while he got his arms open looking to clinch, and step to the side and let an uppercut rip, and we all have seen how bad Wlad gets after he's hit by a solid punch. I just dont see a prime Bowe losing to Wlad, he is the mentally stronger fighter, and comparable physically, I got to give Bowe the advantage H2H.

But how would Bowe hold up if Vlad gets his punches off first, consistently? Under this scenario, Vlad could run away with the fight. Here, Bowe might never get a chance to tag Vlad.

Samuel Peter was able to bring the fight on the inside at times vs Wlad...but Bowe, who lets not forget was a WONDERFUL boxer, not just a brawler with a big punch, couldnt do the same???

A prime, motivated Bowe was too skilled to stay at the end of Wlad's jab all night....and on the inside, this fight is a COLOSSAL MISMATCH!!!

Plus, Bowe actually has a longer reach and imo a better jab. Klitschko is an inch taller and his cross is a little straighter, more pinpoint. Everythin else goes to Bowe.

I dont believe anyone other than a rabid waldo nuthugger would pick him here.
