Greater fighter - Klitschko or Bowe?

It much easier to beat one guy for all the belts than to "collect" the belts from different fighters.

 

But you are failing to take into consideration the quality the beltholders. Unifying four belts doesn't make a guy an all-time great if the other beltholders are mediocre or average fighters at best.

Bowe's title winning victory over Evander Holyfield alone is far more of an accomplishment than Vlad beating Peter, Ibragimov, and Valuev to unify the belts today. This is because a prime Holyfield was a better fighter than these other guys.

 

Not if that one guy is an all-time great like Evander Holyfield.

Collecting the belts from the other three titleholders is more of a business/promotional problem than a ring problem for Vlad. Thus, I do agree with your point.

I call bull****!

#1. Bowe's prime ended because of his fights with Golota, not before them.

#2. No one is more ****ed up in the head than Andrew Golota, well maybe Ike...............but not Bowe, certainly not when they fought.

#3. Bowe was out of shape for the first Golota fight but not the second. His stamina was **** anyway and his inability to block & make Andrew miss were very apparent. Once again, Wlad is much faster, has a better jab & much more power than Golota, he's also bigger, has better footwork, a better trainer & 50+ fights worth of experience.

#4. Bowe had trouble with big power-punching guys who could box. Wlad has yet to be out-pointed.

 

The collective effort necessary to defeat 3 or 4 different fighters & styles is a greater achievement IMO than defeating a single, albiet ATG, yet small Heavyweight like Holyfield.

 

I don't think so.

 

Take into consideration how vastly different the current beltholders styles & sizes are.

golota didnt end bowes prime

bowe ended it with the way he abused his body losing 40-60 pounds in between fights. im not saying golota beat a shot bowe but i think bowe was not in his prime

 

About Bowe vs Wlad... I do think that Bowe was a talented fighter. The problem is that this is a HORRIBLE match-up for Bowe. Bowe was a big man, who had the perfect skillset to beat smaller Heavyweights. He didn't have a great skillset to be able to beat guys his size, or especially bigger guys with talent. Golota was absolutely destroying Bowe, and people can use excuses for Bowe all they want, but the man had just stopped Holyfield right before those fights. He may have been heavy for their first fight, but he came back for the second fight with Golota 5 pounds lighter than he was when he stopped Holyfield... and Golota still killed him.

 

I am always amazed at the hype that is around Bowe. The man is retired and hasn't achieved anything that would have him talked about among the best. I would understand if Bowe was still in the midst of his prime, and we didn't have the information that we already have... but we saw his career... and it wasn't very impressive.
