Tuff call. Both finished ugly.. Gomez finishing very ugly against Layne in '86... Shane has gone the distance as of late, but losing all the rds...

    I like Gomez more so...

I'm a big fan of both too. A few days ago I saw Lockridge-Gomez and I actually thought Gomez lost that fight TBH. I would pick Gomez but I will also say that Gomez was more dominate at his best weight(SBW) than Shane(LW) was though Shane had a greater win moving up in DLH in the first fight. That win probably beats any win on Gomez' record but I just prefer Gomez. Better technically with great footwork though both are great fighters.

Did Gomez ever land a flush punch on a prime Money May? Then case closed.

Neither did Mosley. Money May has been shot to smithereens ever since Ricky Hatton exposed his sorry ass.

Gomez by a decent margain at his best he was one of the most complete fighters ever, total package. Don't think anyone beats him at 122lbs.
