B-Hop did better vs Roy than James did.
B-Hop was a much better professional than James - taking care of himself and being disciplined in his eating.
B-Hop's longevity at a MW titlist and champion, his ventures at LHW at the age he was competing.

I prefer JT as a fighter and think he's more naturally skilled but like B-Hop's consistency and ring generalship more as I assess their careers.

B-Hop has less excuses than a JT does for me.

I understood that you were referring head to head, there I give a slight edge to Toney. Toney was weight drained against Jones.

I agree that Hopkins was the more consistent disciplined athlet, no question. But Toney has the better resume. Legacy wise they are close in my opinion, it is a question what you are look for.

    Toney.

    And Mayweather would beat Benitez.

I always said that I favour James vs Hop H2H, but I do give credit for consistent discipline.

Toney has better victories on his record, but I also think that Toney is more prone to losing to lesser fighters due to his lack of effort at all ends of approaching a fight.

I'm not married to the idea that Hop was better as Toney is more fluid with the hands but I do think that Hop is more adaptable, the better ring general and much more likely to put his best foot forward against once in a lifetime talents.

Deeper resume across more divisions. Both were e excellent at their peak, so Benitez doesn't really have an edge there either.
