Greater Legacy: Floyd/Roy?

Mayweather & Jones have accomplished a great deal in boxing, but with both no retired yet, who will have the higher P4P ranking in history when they do finally hang up the gloves?

For what it's worth, I think Mayweather will have the greater legacy, higher P4P ranking of all time. It's not unlikely Floyd will retire undefeated.

Interested to hear people's choice & for what reasons, so let the debate begin!

Roy, more meaningful wins against tougher opponent especially early in his career. Also he acoplished something that only one other man was able to do by winning the HW title.

    Roy.

Beating Prime Toney and Prime Hopkins is greater than anything Floyd has done.

floyd, although i think rjj was more popular. in terms of opponents floyd has done more against peak boxers and rjj was lucky to have gone in against ageing legends.

roys biggest feats are a peak toney, peak hopkins (arguably) but he made a name with people like pazienza, mccallum, hill and ruiz.

mayweather has taken on more prime, elite boxers and contenders IMO

:good Although I dont agree that Hopkins was prime when jones beat him, hopkins hit his prime alot later than most NORMAL fighters  In my opinion anyway:good

Roy won the heavyweight title by beating Ruiz? I bet that would come as some surprise to Lennox Lewis !

100% correct. A prime Nard would beat Roy's ass all over the ring.

If mayweather stepped up to MW and won a title there, would it be comparable to Jones getting his title at HW against ruiz? I personally think it would, best bet? Sturm?

What are you smoking man?? Prime Hopkins beat up smaller WW/Middleweight champs....Prime Roy beat EVERYONE! And let's not forget that Hopkins has been avoiding the rematch for years!

Yup. But Ruiz had beaten ranked HW's. I am not sure Sturm has even faced any. I would take that into account.

You're a bit biased toward Nard and Philly fighters aren't you.
