Diego Corrales is the most overrated fighter ever on ESB. IMO, Kessler was a better fighter and a tougher challenge. My honest opinion.

Casamayor was better than either, I give you that one.

Johnston = Lacy IMO. Both overrated, both limited.

 It is absolutely nothing like saying Joey Archer is better than Ray Robinson!! Sober up.

Castillo has fought more world class fighters than Calzaghe. but probably overall Calzaghe's legacy is maybe better. I will however never rate Calzaghe highly on alltime ratings because of his lack of depth of class opponents and retiring to keep his unbeaten record, without meeting and defeating the top young guns. I mean the old guys such as Hopkins and Jones are fighting him, so why will he not man up and fight the young guns in his weight class. Two reasons money and preservation of his unbeaten record, that is what is wrong with boxing today too much emphasis on how much you can make and not risking your record agains the best.

you probably havent seen Johnston fight if you think Lacy is on his level.
Johnston in his prime was a very good fighter and for me he won both fights with Castillo.

Calzaghe easily in this one. If anything, JLC's legacy is tainted some after all the losses he picked up fighting the scale.

Those loses were when he was a youngster, are you going to count early career losses against Marg, and Sal Sanchez too? Mexican fighters have been known to have early loses in their career. 4 of his ko loses were on cuts.HE never touched the canvas until Hatton but by that time he was done. Castillo's resume is more solid than Calzaghes. He beat Steve Johnson, Floyd Mayweather(most observers agree), casamayor and Corrales. All these fighters were in there prime.

Diego was overrated? He beat champs in castillo,Frietas, Casamayor, Deriek gainer, manfredy and Roberto Garcia, which champs or former champs did kessler beat to match Corrales?

Your showing how much you DONT KNOW about boxing if your saying Stevie Johnston was overated and the same level as Lacy. IF anything Johnston was underated.

Why vote for Castillo then? People on here always bash so called nuthuggers for voting purely coz they love the fighter or some pish, when clearly coz of the results of the countless other legacy's Calzaghe is compared to the "nuthuggers" are far more fair and balanced(look at the pac poll) than the obvious haters. Sad.

I saw his fights with Vivian Harris and Juan Lazcano amongst others years later on dvd. Stopped in both by fighters who were good, but not any more than that. I saw his fight with Billy Schwer at the time - wasn't impressed then either. Johnston was decent and performed well against Castillo, but that's my point - if Castillo was that good (good enough to be considered better than Calzaghe) he wouldn't have struggled so much against a guy like Johnston who, for me, is a Lacy or a Byron Mitchell, not a Kessler or a Casamayor.

You can reel off names at me all day, but I am not going by reading his resume, I've seen Corrales fight many times, and I think he is very overrated. Have you seen most of his world title fights? Any good lightweight champion should be beating guys like Manfredy, Gainer and Garcia. True, he had good wins over the other three, but he also had comprehensive defeats to Castillo and Casamayor. I think he both JLC and JC were better fighters than him all-round.

In my opinion, Corrales was not as good as Mosley, Mayweather, Castillo or Casamayor, or probably Pacquiao or Marquez now they're at lightweight, and that's just in the last 10 years.
