Just to go along with the "Greater Legacy..." trend that seems to be going on here lately, here's another one.

I think this is a more fair matchup for Joe C unlike the previous ones with Pacquiao, DLH, and Tyson.

So who has the better legacy at the moment? Calzaghe or JMM?

Depends if you feel JMM beat Pac.

    It's close I'd say.

Can we stop talking about active fighters' "legacies"???
JMM has at least 3-4 fights ahead of him before retirement anyway.

People are obsessed with JC's "legacy" and "resume" and "quality of opposition" these days..

All this Calzaghe legacy chat is getting a bit old now.

Answer just now: Joe Calzaghe, narrowly, as JMM is a 3-weight world champion but Joe Cal has had the better career to date.

Answer at the end of both of their careers: I expect it may be JMM. I think he has some huge and brilliant performances left in him. The guy is maturing like a fine wine.

21 title defense is a record in boxing history for Joe C. so my vote goes to him.

50/50 in terms of legacy, but Marquez is technically the better fighter.

And those were defences of THE title, not of an unrecognised trinket.
