    Ward is probably more overatted, since his best legitimate wins are Froch and Kessler, both guys that never were that impressive themselves, and were consideres Euro bums before Ward beat them. But whatever floats your boat. Golovkin will continue to clear out middleweight and his legacy and popularity will skyrocket.

    I agree. Ward does not have the long resume, the wins over those guys were good. It is not his wins which hurt his legacy, it is not a really long list of greatfighters. he needed to move up another few divisions and become a 4 time titlist.. for the icing on the cake.

    Many say froch and Kessler were bums before fighting ward? LMFAO stop it. Only the ward haters will say ggg resumes are better smh. Kessler was considered by many as the best super middleweight and was the favorite to win the super six before getting destroy by ward. Froch beat taylor, green, Johnson before fighting ward smh.

    Whoever picks ggg over ward as the greater legacy needs to have head exam.

    Ward and its not even close. Ward defeated a murderer's row of opponents and dominated them. He went to 175 pounds and beat Kovalev twice. After the 1st Kovalev fight he took the rematch even though he was already thinking of retirement and destroyed the Krusher. Ward is arguably the great Super Middleweight in history alongside Roy Jones Jr, James Toney and Super Joe Calzaghe. Interestingly he beat Kessler more convincingly than Calzaghe. He took Froch to school. The judges who had it 115-113 were obviously on drugs as it was more like 118-110. He took on all comers and triumphed. Had he not retired next in line would have been Bellew who he would have beaten at Cruiserweight and perhaps he could have done something with AJ. Thanks for the great memories champ. Proud to have met you. There were 2 grand masters of this time Mayweather and Ward. As far as I am concerned Jacobs won the fight against GGG and clearly Canelo beat GGG. If GGG knows what's good for him he better avoid a rematch with Canelo and go after Bill Jane or Billy Jo Saunders. I think GGG will suffer a similar fate to Jeff Fenech and Sergei Kovalev in their respective rematches with the great Azumah Nelson and Andre Ward.

    Saying Ward lost is reconstruction. On the record he won the fights with Kovalev and will always get the credit for them.
