Really interested to hear what people think abou this.I was amazed at the number of people who think Pacquiao is a top 50 ATG I have to give Mayweather the edge hear though. He was a pound-for-pounder for the best part of ten years and has more more world rated opponents on his resume than Pacquiao even if most of them aren't of the calibre of Barrera,Morales and Marquez.
Hands down is a bit of an exaggeration.Mayweather beat Castillo,Corrales,Hatton,De La Hoya,Baldomir,Judah,G Hernandez,Manfredy,Gatti. They were all very renowned at the time he fought them.Peopke discredit the Gatti disection too much hewas on a huge comeback trail and was knocking on the door of some p4p lists.Even Phillip Ndou was a well respected puncher and some people thought he could give Floyd problems.Jesus Chavez took his beating and went on to have a fine career for himself.Mitchell,Corley Carlos Hernandez and Goyo Vargas were pretty good fighters also. All and all Mayweather beat at least 15 quality opponents you can't say the same about Pacquiao.
Pac beat ATGs closer to their prime or at their prime, where PBF relevant legacy fights ended at 135 pounds.
Mayweather is the greater fighter, while I'm a much bigger fan of Pac, I don't think it's really close if your going to rate them all-time.
Bitchmade is it??? I think you need to watch that fight again sistah!!! As far as Legacy's go Pacman has only fought 3 people worth mentioning and he's fought all of them more than once. He smashed Barrera the first time nobody believed it...they fought again and it was a much closer fight....In my eyes he still hasn't beat Marquez and he lost once to Morales In Floyd's case he's beaten good and great fighters the first time the only dispute he had was with Castillo and whooped him handily in the rematch Floyd all day based on opposition...skill...and record
At this precise moment in time, Mayweather probably just shades it IMO. Pac will lose to Oscar, but if he can beat JMM in a 3rd fight, then maybe Campbell or Diaz, then maybe even Hatton or Malignaggi, then it's Pac without a shadow of a doubt. I think in time it will be Pac. He's not as talented as PBF, but even now I think his resume is better. I am a recent convert to Floyd, I love watching his fights, but the fact is the only truly great wins he ever had were Corrales and Castillo II. De La Hoya was over the hill and rustier than an old bike, we saw Hatton couldn't cope at 147 v Collazo, and did anyone really think Judah, coming off a defeat to Carlos ****ing Baldomir (don't even go there!), had a chance of beating Floyd? Nah.
