We're talking LEGACY here and not them fighting each other. Where not talking who's the better fighter either. You're not even talking pound-for-pound when you say Floyd and his notable victims can beat the snot out of whoever Pac got notched up on his résumé who has a pulse. That's because Floyd's cut his career out of a naturally bigger group. It's like saying Roy Jones and Hopkins make mince meat out of Floyd and his competition, which is probably true... but is superfluous and irrelevant when talking careers. It doesn't necessarily make their respective legacies better than Floyds but you could argue for them if you don't agree. Its the same reason why a lot of people are ridiculing Oscar for taking on a midget lightweight. They're not in the same weight range so it wouldn't be a fair comparison when matching these groups in a fight. So when comparing legacies, you have to consider that as well, or youll end up no better than the fanboys you despise with that kind of opinion I quoted.
I missed this post  The arguments made in this post are COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT with the thread's subject.
I will be critical, but not overly critical of Floyd when I find out that he is truly retired. He did not seal his legacy imo which is not his fault imo. I really don't like to say stuff like that prematurely about any fighter who retires early. It is not about who he didn't face because the WW picture is still not complete since Williams and AM have not faced off in a rematch to show us who would be a legitimate challenge for Floyd. It would be how he ended his career with people thinking that he can still fight, and wanting him to seal his legacy. Pac fighting Dlh and Hatton possibly will not seal Pac's legacy either. It's a wait and see thing with these guys...
not necessarily if Pac beats Hatton after Oscar that is hugely significant.Remember Pacquiao started as a flyweight it's a major accomplishment tobeat guys so much bigger than him.
Most people are voting for Mayweather in the 'Fighter of the decade' poll.I don't know how Pacquiao is so far ahead in this poll.
